I ran my fingers across the flowers on the pulpit and imagined the rough hands of a Norwegian immigrant shaping this wood into a beautiful work of art. In the background is the top of the altar, defined by tablets, signifying the 10 Commandments and centered by a painting of the Lord’s Supper.
