I always have mixed feelings about photo editing. Do I stay true to the image or do I change it up a bit? In this case, the original image seemed rather boring to me. So when I started playing a bit with editing, this is what resulted. And I must say I rather like the transformation of a snowy field into an ocean of waves.
“Staying true to the image”. Hmmmm. Let’s see, if you decide to take up “air-brushing” your image to actually change their integrity, then I’ll take issue. It is a “feel” that you have given us w/o restructuring the featured subject. I say……go for it and let us, the readers, enjoy your efforts!!!! Hugs…….
There were a lot of snowmobilers out on Saturday, when I snapped this photo near Faribault through the passenger side window of our van. I thought it made for an interesting shot with only a portion of the snowmobile showing. I shot a few other frames with the entire snowmobile, but liked this one best once I’d edited it.
Nice!!! You are definitely having fun with your photo shop program!!!!!!
Yes, once in awhile I like to change up a picture and give it an artsy vibe.
I hope you keep at it…….I really enjoy the different effects.

My photo editing skills are minimal, thus you would never see airbrushing. Thanks for your appreciation of my artsy efforts.
I love them and am inspired to try such, also!!!!!!
You captured this perfectly – it appears so much like ocean surf and waves. Neat!
The magic of photo editing transformed waves of snow into an “ocean.”
despite the cold & snow, one can find fun even during the winter months here in the frozen North.
Yup, and I find my fun in capturing outdoor fun and then having fun with the image.
Awesome…..love it!!!
Thanks. I was pleased with the results of a little photo editing.
I love it—-just the right touch of “whimsy” to make me feel a bit better about the snow. 🙂
Anything to lift your spirits, my friend.
That is certainly one way to ride the waves – Amazing Capture:) If you have to deal with snow why not have fun with it – ha! Happy Tuesday

If you do not notice the snowmobiler it looks like an ocean wave – love it!
Exactly. Readers can pretend the snowmobiler is riding a jet ski.
Great photo. Love those ‘waves’ xx
Thanks, Charlie. Those are the closest to waves we’ll get in Minnesota right now.
I’m sure those “ice” waves of snow were cold too! Looks like a fun time.
Lots of snowmobilers were out riding last Saturday afternoon when I snapped this photo.
🙂
