  1. Jill Carlander's avatar Jill Carlander Says:

An old obit, lists a Waller ancestor as having been an employee at the “Waller”Lefse factory in Ulen. Many Waller (Vaaler, Grue Parish, Hedmark, Norway) ancestors farmed at Flom, Home Lake Twp., Twin Valley, Fossum, etc.
Yet to find siblings Ola, Johanne, Lars…stone for Lars Haagenson (dad’s name) S. of Rochester could be him. Other siblings & relatives moved north from Northfield to this area in the 1870s. Is there any history on ownership of the Lefse store? Dad’s mom was from Twin Valley and attended Ada HS. He grew up in Moorhead and said Ulen Lefse is the best. Wish it was available in Texas.
