Dear Amy,
You aren’t in Minnesota any more. As you’re well aware, you are in Kansas.
I’m sorry to hear that you are unhappy about the lack of snow there. I wish I could lead you down the yellow brick road to snowy Minnesota, where Christmas music sounds much more holiday-ish than in barren Kansas.
But I possess no special powers to transport you here.
So I will bring the snow to you via the magic of the internet.
Imagine the 25-degree temp, which will dip lower tonight. Imagine snow piles and icy sidewalks and sloppy, slippery roadways.
Now, are you still feeling so melancholy about the 50-degree temperatures and the lack of snow in Kansas?
Happy December, dear Amy, from southern Minnesota!
Love,
Your Other Mom

My husband sheered a bolt off in the snowblower just as he finished clearing the sidewalk Saturday morning.

Thanks! It helps that the high today was 35 instead of 50, but it is difficult to imagine there being snow in other places with the lack of snow here! Hopefully there will be a few flakes soon…I am praying!!
I bet with a temp of 35 today in Kansas, the snow will fall soon. Meanwhile, you can dream of a white Christmas!
I do love all of the snow photos. A good time to curl up under a blanket and read. Just hope the power does not go off. The photos of the farm are fantastic. Thanks to H. Colder here today too. and windy. No snow!
Your images make me think that I should get my entire family winterwear for the holidays. It’s seems far too early for that much snow.
Ditto. Way tooooooo early for this much snow. I was in eastern Wisconsin the past two days, just south of Green Bay. No snow there except for a few flurries Sunday evening.
Greetings from Washington state. I miss the snow and cold of Minnesota. We had about 4 inches of snow, it lasted 5 days. It was wet and sloppy, good for making forts and snowballs. We moved from Minnesota when I was 12 years old, so I never learned how to drive in the white stuff.
Kids always love snow, don’t they?
