IN A WEEK THAT’S BEEN particularly difficult for our country, let’s pause and reflect on the goodness we can each do. Individually.
We can choose to be kind. We can choose to listen. We can choose to be respectful. We can choose to act like adults and not like bullies on the playground.
We can smooth the rough surfaces we’ve etched with our words.
We can empathize and offer compassion and be gentle with one another.
We can choose love over hatred.
We have the choice. Which will you choose?
I direct you to Minnesota Public Radio’s story, “Na-na-na-na No-no: A guide to post-election etiquette,” and to Twin Cities Christian radio station KTIS and Jason Gray’s song, “With Every Act of Love.”

It is about choices – always. I am taking advantage of the pretty autumn weather here, walking with my camera in the woodlands and along the old river channel. I tend to retreat to the quiet of nature when life becomes noisy and full of chaos. 🙂
That’s an excellent place to retreat. I look forward to seeing your woodland and river images.
I am choosing optimism, kindness and respect.
Yes!
I was not thrilled by either candidate, hence I voted for someone else. I will respectfully support our new president-elect fully knowing who is sitting on the throne. That is all.
That was the message themed on KTIS (Christian radio station) the day after the election. We know who is sitting on the throne…
I am with you Audrey. Life rolls alot better with a good attitude and heart full of love……
And you possess both.
