I APPRECIATE THE JUXTAPOSITIONS in this image I shot recently along Interstate 94 by Rogers.
The dusting of snow, the directive to stay on track during winter weather via Northstar and then the sign directing motorists to the Super 8 indoor heated pool.
This is, oh, so Minnesota.

Heated pool sounds great right about now.
Yes, it does. Winter has arrived.
Ha! – love it – thanks for sharing! Happy Day – Enjoy 🙂
So fitting of Minnesota, where our temps are definitely now in the winter range.
Interesting photograph, ever notice how vehicles change over time? From cars to SUVs to fancy trucks etc. Back in my younger days in Minnesota a truck was a working vehicle dirty most of the time, no fancy wheels of chrome, no big tires elevating the vehicle to new heights etc. Looking at the traffic in your picture I see what looks like one car, one minivan, perhaps eights SUV’s, and two pickup trucks. The trucks look nothing like what would have been seen on a farm long ago when work was the reason for the trucks existence. Cars were used for Sunday drives and grocery shopping and SUV’s and minivans did not exist. How times changes…………..
Oh, yes, I notice the change in vehicles, especially given my husband works as an automotive machinist. He often comments on vehicles. In our aging mini van, I feel out of place among all the SUVs, trucks, etc. Vans are no longer the thing they once were. But that’s OK. We drive what we can afford and what gets us successfully from Point A to Point B.
I miss the minivan we used to have, good all around vehicle for almost everything from hauling hockey/soccer teams, to building materials, to well fishing it did it all. I’m sure Randy can agree older vehicles were a lot easier to work on too……………………………..
He would agree with that.
