  1. It is a shame that many of these small towns are left to neglect somewhat. I can see a day of people returning to these places to build a more secure, hopeful life.

    • So much has changed in rural regions since I left the farm. Small towns, once business hubs, are no longer that, replaced first by regional shopping centers and now online shopping. People are way more mobile. Society has changed. All factor into the demise of small towns and Main Street businesses. My hometown once boasted two hardware stores, a grocery store and many more businesses filling the one-block Main Street. Now only a few businesses remain. It saddens me.
