Not exactly kick the can June 29, 2012

HOT, HUMID WEATHER can cause all sorts of issues. Frizzy hair. Over-taxed air conditioners. Crabby kids, and adults. Buckling pavement.

And sometimes…sticky doors.

The door to Personal Touch Office Services.

But Patti, at Personal Touch Office Services, 307 Division Street in historic downtown Northfield, offers a solution to the sticky door problem at her place of business. Simply follow her instructions:

Follow the instructions to get the door open during humid weather.

Please note that Patti instructs you to “tap,” not kick, the door. Got that?

I expect door tapping kicking has been a popular sport in Minnesota this week.

FYI: I do not know Patti nor have I ever done business with her. I simply found her note amusing and wanted to share it with you.

Last evening we actually flung open the doors and windows. They are still open and I am wondering…should I close everything up or leave everything open? I really prefer not to use the air conditioner if I don’t have to for economic reasons and also because I don’t like feeling as if I am working/living in a cave.

I hear ya. Not too bad here but our farmhouse seems to be retaining some of the heat of yesterday. A/C is set at 78F and is comfortable (no humidity). Cool outside but humidity is still high. Kind of a “catch 22”! Nephew’s wedding in Bettendorf,IA, tomorrow. Temps 100+ and storms….ugh! Taking the car….no bikes;-(

Well, I hope that wherever the wedding is held, it’s air conditioned. Enjoy. Family weddings are the best.

You’ve got that right!!! I am sure the A/C will be getting a workout!!!

What a great sign! I, too, love seeing signs like that that are unique!!! This one I suspect has had some responses other than tapping!!! 🙂

Small town Main Street typically offers the most interesting personal signs like this. I’ve learned to keep my eagle eye searching for them.
