Yes, and we haven’t even had any fresh sweetcorn yet. The crop is really late this year.

Us either. I am hoping this weekend. Chris really wanted some last weekend but I didn’t go out and get any. Today is the day—-I am feeling it! 🙂

Yes, I’m thinking the same, to accompany the pork loin I’m preparing for supper.

  1. Yes, and I love this corn season! However, if we don’t get any more rain, our corn crops – both field corn and sweet corn – will be doomed.

  2. Jackie Says:

Had my first taste last week…it was yummy.

Okay. Now I need to fly to the US so I can discover what candy corn is. Enjoy the season! xx

    • Audrey Kletscher Helbling Says:

That sounds like as good a reason as any to fly to the U.S. Kandy corn is simply a variety of sweetcorn, aka corn-on-the-cob.

yum! Had some a week ago from Olivia MN “Corn Capital of the World”
Kandy corn – it is delish!

As I type, my husband is husking sweetcorn, picked up from a roadside stand in Gaylord, on our way home from Morris.
