A sweet kiss at their wedding reception sweetheart table set just for them.

Moving closer for a kiss at their wedding reception sweetheart table.

THEY ARE SO INCREDIBLY in love, my daughter Amber and her husband, Marc, the new Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt, married on Sunday, September 22, 2013.

Sweet

Pure love, joy and happiness during that first dance together as husband and wife.

You can see it in the way they look at one another,

First dance...

First dance…

in the way they hold one another,

Love in a snapshot.

Love in a snapshot.

in the way they are when they are together.

Newlyweds beginning their journey together through life as one, loved by God and family and friends, loving one another with a depth that takes your breath away.

I got caught up on all your wonderful wedding blogging. I have never seen a bride look quite as happy as your daughter. She was just beaming in every picture. Of course the groom looked smitten too πŸ™‚ Each photo essay you did was just lovely. Thanks for sharing a piece of that special day with readers.

Oh, Sue, your words mean so much to me. I hoped I had succeeded in showcasing the emotions and beauty and love that defined Marc and Amber’s wedding.

  4. I think this is the most lovely, simply elegant wedding….so sweetly simple with amazing little details that were just perfect….the dress–so special, so beautiful…so perfectly worn by a beautiful bride.
Love the suits–not rented tuxedos….Love the setting of that historic building. The adorable card suitcase…the chalkboard….just wonderful!
The flowers–amazing! ahhh, dusty miller in the bouquets….so pretty!
    The photographer did amazing!
    And your photos as well.
Hope your resting and smiling with the memories still circling in your head.
    Congratulations to the beautiful couple.

Thank you, Stacey. It is the attention to details which combined create a beautiful event. Amber had some great ideas.

For awhile there I was scavenging for chalkboards as the reception schedule was written on one, the hosted drinks on another and a note about the cheeses served during the social hour (all cheeses purchased at the adjoining Cheese Cave and cave-aged and/or made in Faribault) written on a third. The manager of the Cheese Cave kindly lent us his sandwich chalkboard to place outside the reception venue directing guests to the reception.

The suitcase card idea was mine (alright I saw something similar on pinterest). We used my husband’s vintage suitcase for that.

Also, if you looked at the post Rochelle Louise Photography did on the wedding, you saw an image of window frames. These were old barn window/frames from the Helbling (my husband) and Kletscher (my childhood) farms. Amber clipped table name place cards to jute strung across the windows. So not only purposeful but meaningful.

Amber’s dress, as you may recall, was a second-hand one from Andrea’s Vintage Bridal in Minneapolis. She wanted something with straps and something unique and this dress suited her perfectly. The second-hand veil was the perfect additional touch to create an elegant look.

Weren’t Lanae’s flowers gorgeous? And you’re right on the dusty miller.

Yes, I’m finally feeling rested and memories are most definitely swirling in my head.

They look so happy, and IN LOVE… isn’t it the best to see our children find that special someone. Makes a mamma’s heart swell!
