AT THE TIME I shot this Ford truck with the “let it SNOW” window sticker, I found the message humorous. It was a hot and humid July afternoon in Northfield, Minnesota.

Now that winter isn’t all that far away and overnight temps are dipping into the 30s, I’m not laughing.

All too soon the snow will fall. Remember the Halloween blizzard of  1991?

Yes I do remember – and I think about it each Election Day and wonder when we will get around to making a good plan for how to handle elections that get disrupted by the next “big one.”

  2. Beth Ann Says:

You know how “I” feel about snow. If only it would stay on the grass and not fall on the sidewalks, streets and driveways.

  3. I do remember the Halloween blizzard well! I tromped through snow with my son Shawn, who was 10 at the time. We were among very few trick-or-treaters so he made a huge haul very quickly. People kept saying, here, take more! That was quite a Halloween.

Maybe……………..I sure wouldn’t have one of those little signs anywhere near me!!!!!! LOL!!!!!

  5. YAY SNOW!!!! I remember taking my 3 year old Sister trick or treating and having to carry her from house to house. The snow was so deep she couldn’t walk. I don’t think that I went trick or treating again until I had children of my own.

  6. Dan Traun Says:

I remember that blizzard well; I was 17. Having already experienced a first snow (In Sept in SD) I am not looking forward to the cold or white fluffy stuff one bit.

  7. Thank you – now I have the Let It Snow song stuck in my head 🙂

    Everyone Sing . . .

Oh, the weather outside is frightful,

But the fire is so delightful,

And since we’ve no place to go,

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

    Happy Day!

I would say so! My father plowed snow. He might be gone all night, come home for a nap, then out again in the morning. He plowed the streets and roads in the City of Dennison and for several farmers in the area.
