YOU’LL FIND IT in the gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. And in the Psalms:
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.
You will also find this Scripture in St. Peter. The town. The words banner across the front of a house along South Minnesota Avenue/U.S. Highway 169 which slices right through the heart of this southern Minnesota community.
I know nothing about the house—whether it’s home or business or something else.
But I know that I appreciate the blessing of this bible verse upon travelers like myself passing through St. Peter.
If you are traveling this holiday, may your journey be safe.

May our journey be safe as well. Happy Thanksgiving Audrey & family.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Cyndie also, Dan. We are hosting Thanksgiving, so hoping our guests arrive without difficulty.
Great Capture! Is that a cooler on the curb? A good majority of my family are named after saints including my father. Happy Thanksgiving to You and Your Family – Be Blessed 🙂
Yes, that looks like a cooler to me.
How wonderful to have family members named after saints. What is your Dad’s name?
Peter
I also have relatives that live in St. Peter.
You have a large extended family, don’t you? I really like the community of St. Peter.
Yes I do – let’s just say when we all are in town together people know we have arrived – ha! That was how it was going back for my Uncle’s funeral – plus he worked as a civil servant, so most people knew him.
What a wonderful reunion and celebration that must have been of your uncle’s life.
I hope all people find safe travel this week. We will be heading south where the weather will be more favorable. Here we are looking at freezing rain, ice and snow possibly… but as usual, the temperatures will rise by Sunday for a nice melt! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Audrey!
Thank you. Safe travels and a happy Thanksgiving to you and yours also.
I love St. Peter! There’s a wonderful Swedish shop there and a great kitchen store right next door! 🙂
I agree. Great community.
It really appears to be a home complete with something like a door leaning in the window and a cooler by the curb. I hope somebody didn’t forget their lunch. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
I noticed the same details and think, yes, “home.”
Ahh….. the town of St. Peter, nice place, been through there many times. Everyone have a good Thanksgiving wherever you are going to be. Enjoy family, friends and food as it’s an important part of life.
Here in our state we are having major snow and it is messing up our flights as we try to get our customers taken care of. We have over 12,000 pounds of groceries to get moved in time for Thanksgiving dinners and the weather is not cooperating! Looks like a long workday ahead………………….
Don, I hope the weather improves so customers can get their Thanksgiving groceries.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Snow forecast for here tomorrow.
I Love that this verse adorns the front of the house, and that house…. I love that house!
Agreed on both. House and verse.
Happy Thanksgiving Audrey 🙂
Thank you, Jackie. And Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family also!
